WITH regret, Launceston Rugby Football Club have announced the resignation of chairman of the mini/junior section Mr Darren Tait.

Club secretary Mel Tozer said: "On behalf of Rob Mill, Roy Webb and myself, I would like to thank Darren for his enthusiasm, commitment and dedication in his position as chairperson. He will be greatly missed and a hard act to follow."

In his resignation statement, Darren said: "Due to the events of yesterday evening my son will no longer be playing for Launceston Mini Juniors, which means my positions as chairman is no longer tenable. I wish the mini juniors the best for the future."
