THE start of the 2012 season started with the opening of the green by the one and only Mr Merv Palmer who bowled the opening wood in less than perfect conditions, he had a 'toucher'.

Merv than stayed on and played 4 ends with us when the weather turned for the worse and an early tea was taken.

During the tea the President Mr Graham Davey thanked everyone for turning up, some 38 brave souls which included two new bowlers who were formally welcomed by Graham.

He went on and thanked the green team for the hard work during the winter months (well applauded) and wished everyone a successful season and lastly thanked the tea ladies who prepared the tea and Gill Jones for the draw.
