VISITORS Redruth came to Polson to take on their Launceston counterparts in a number of entertaining matches recently.

Eight talented players arrived from Redruth, with the 12 home players split into two teams forming rolling subs for each side.

Both teams played eachother in 10 minute halves, providing all parents with the chance to see what their children could do out on the pitch.

Launceston won three of the four matches to Redruth's one, the scores 14-8, 13-9, 10-8 and 9-14.

James Foster and Demelza Short provided some great tagging, while support was strong from Jess Berry and Morgan Jones.

The coaches' trophy went to Oli Cleave and Jack Lankston, whose speed and ability to run upfield made lots of ground for their teams.

The player of the match, as voted for by the parents present, went to Matthew Rowland. They thought he offered good support to the ball carrier, and worked hard all round.
