LISKEARD Athletic's search for a new reserve team manager is over after former goalkeeper Adam Fuller decided to take over the East Cornwall Premier League outfit following the departure of manager Dave Skews, who has now become the club's secretary.

The 29-year-old, who took a year out from playing, will have Aaron Saunders and Andy Brown as his assistants. It will be Fuller's first attempt at managing a senior club although he has been involved in junior football.

Asked why he took up the role, Fuller said: 'I didn't want to see the club go out of the league.

'I am looking forward to the job, I know it will be a difficult challenge but I'm hoping to get in some local lads and try and keep it local, which should lead to a good atmosphere among the players.'

Fuller continued: 'I will still be naming myself among the substitutes.'

Fuller's assistants are former Gunnislake manager Andy Brown along with Aaron Saunders, who will continue to play. Fuller is interested in anyone wishing to play for the Blues and can be contacted on 07534 939957.
