Narberth Under 7s 3 Neyland Under 7s 1
Last Sunday, the Under 7s represented Narberth RFC in the Pembrokeshire Finals Day at Pembroke.
This Under 7s side has worked really hard this season and the players have really come together as a team, playing some wonderful rugby and scoring some magical tries.
The atmosphere was great and large crowds flooded in. Narberth v Neyland was the first fixture of the day and the Little Otters seemed to warm to the occasion.
After the photo shoot, it was a quick team talk in the changing room before both teams made their way out to be greeted by a family and friends guard of honour.
Narberth won the toss of the coin and opted to start the game; it wasn't long before they were pushing Neyland back towards their try-line.
Some good passing and quick feet saw Deian sprint over for his first.
Neyland took the restart and this was end to end rugby, with the ball being turned over on a few occasions,
However, Neyland did manage to break the Little Otters' defence and scores were levelled.
These little Otters didn't let their heads drop, though, and again with some fine passing and jinking runs they managed to get the ball out to Lewy, who stepped his way to the line.
Some fantastic tagging by the whole team and the ball was back in the Otters' possession; Ollie took off on a blistering run, only to have his foot clipped metres short of the Neyland try line.
Narberth were awarded a penalty, the ball was fed out to Deian, who crossed for his second.
Jonathan Thomas - ex Ospreys/Wales international presented the players' medals.
Later that morning we were back in Narberth to play Blackwood who were on tour
And what a great way to finish off a thrilling season, with a 5-1 victory.
