THE Cornish All Blacks will be playing in National Two South again next season, but they really put their supporters through the mill on a very tense afternoon at Polson Bridge. The All Blacks knew a victory would be sufficient to see them avoid relegation, and they just about did enough in conditions more befitting the middle of winter than the end of April. Wins for Chinnor, Dings Crusaders and the All Blacks saw London Irish Wild Geese join Exmouth and Bournemouth in relegation from the division after they went down 40-24 at promotion chasing Apthill and District. It was a day of emotional farewells, with All Blacks flanker Tom Rawlings playing his final game after seven years with the club. He led the team onto the pitch before the game, and was applauded off it when he left the battlefield in the 69th minute with a leg injury.
