A FANTASTIC day of Cornish County Cup Sevens rugby from all teams involved ended in triumph for the lads from Launceston RFC.

The day, which was successfully hosted by Liskeard RFC, started for Laumceston with a series of group matches, the first against Redruth which ended in a 7-7 draw.

The Cornish All Blacks never looked back from there on in, going on to beat Wadebridge 28-0, Truro 26-0, Penzance 42-0 and St Austell 31-0 to set up a semi-final with Lankelly/Perranporth.

A closer match than the majority of group games, Launceston edged it 7-5 and found themselves up against Redruth again but this time with the cup to play for.

With the extra incentive, Launceston put 21 points past their opponents without reply — a great achievement.
