JO DOWNS of Launceston organised a team of swimmers for the annual Padstow to Rock Swim in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care recently. 

Her team of swimmers included her young son Marlow, and at the Launceston fundraising group's AGM they presented a cheque to Lynda Thomas of Marie Curie for £2,150. 

Lynda said: "We are extremely grateful to Jo and her team to taking part in this great event. 

"Everyone successfully completed what was a challenging swim in July.  To date, over £44,000 has been raised through this event, which is amazing."
