KILKHAMPTON based nurse, Krystle Metherell (pictured third right), has recently completed a solo 990-mile cycle from John O’Groats to Lands End between June 4-17 in aid of The MS Society and Care for Kids North Devon.
Inspired by the loss of her mum Annette Metherell at just 52, following a 10-year battle with MS, Krystle was originally due to do the event with her cousin, who sadly had to drop out three weeks before the event.
Krystle was supported on this two-week challenge by friends and family in a support vehicle, before being joined on the last three days by a friend and cousin.
Krystle would like to thank all the businesses who kindly sponsored her to assist with the costs of this event and to Voklsbarn for the support van for the two weeks.
Krystle would also finally like to thank friends and family for their ongoing love and support, without whom a trip like this wouldn’t have been possible.
At the time of writing, Ms Metherell has raised just over £3,800, over 75% of her target.

The closing date is Sunday, July 17.
