LAUNCESTON Hockey Club have enjoyed a very successful season under the captaincy and vice-captaincy of Charlotte Gist and Vanessa Scott.

The club has consistently fielded a strong ladies squad, and they battled their way to a convincing third place in the Trelawney Hockey League Division Two, narrowly missing out on promotion hopes by just three points.

The team also celebrated success as the Cornwall County Plate finalists, closing the season with the squad travelling to Penzance astro park, where they finished runners-up.

The team has developed its own home grown talent in players like Gemma Wickett, Billie Andrews, Morwenna Masters, Issy Paul and new signing, Jo Spooner.
