FIFTEEN-year-old Joseph Tibbetts from Launceston has earned the accolade of top junior boy in Cornwall following his impressive showing at the recent County Amateur Swimming Association Championships, held recently over two weekends in Penzance.
He broke eight championship records, winning 20 trophies and shields in the process, with over 300 swimmers of various ages also taking part in the contest
Joseph competes for Launceston Swimming Club, under John Rhodes, and Plymouth Leander, under Olympic coach Jon Rudd and his team.
Joseph thanked friends, family and Launceston College — where he has trained — for all of their support.
