ONE hundred and fifty children comprising 12 teams from 10 schools gathered to participate in the first interschool's festival to take place at Polson Bridge, Launceston in years recently.

With Jim O'Hara getting proceeding under way, groups stage matches were played with the standard of play overall surprising the organisers.

Chairman of the mini juniors Darren Tait said: "We identified that there was limited playing time for teams that sometime train all year in school. We have the facilities here at Polson Bridge, so what better use than to open them up for the wider community to use.
