AFTER several weeks of the majority of games being called off, most of the Post area’s South West Peninsula League Premier West clubs were in action.

Inside is a report from David Harrison on second bottom Launceston’s excellent 2-2 draw at high-flying Wadebridge Town, while we also hear from boss Neil Price.

Bude were unable to take advantage as they lost 3-1 at home to St Austell while Camelford went down 2-1 to Dobwalls at Broadclose Park. We hear from Camels boss Reg Hambly on the defeat, while there are reports from both games.

Callington, who announced the resignation of manager Shaun Vincent last week, saw their home game with Penzance called off due to a frozen pitch, as was the case for Holsworthy in SWPL Premier East at Crediton United.

Away from the football, Launceston Rugby Club’s weekend was a mixed one with the first team’s clash at Drybrook called off, as was the second team game at home to St Agnes.

However the ladies did play on the Sunday and beat Totnes 37-0 at Polson Bridge.
