TICKENHAM Golf Club's PGA Professional Alan Johnston, of Sutcombe, is embarking on a 220 mile charity cycle ride from the golf club to Land's End at the end of the month with Jason Wallace, one of the club members.

They plan to raise money to help Harvey Hext, from Winford, one of two identical twins born with Down's Syndrome who has also been diagnosed with stage four neuroblastoma — a cancer that attacks the nervous system. Its a cancer that affects fewer then 100 children a year in the UK.
