HPT Sport has claimed the 'Best Independent Retailer 2013' at the inaugural Sports Trade Awards.

The event was created to recognise, celebrate and reward the achievements of sports retailers and manufacturers, as determined by the sports industry.

There were 24 awards available, including best apparel brand, best running brand, best new retailer and many more.

All of the candidates were nominated and voted for online over a four week period, with most of the categories comprising five to seven entries come the final.
