BUDE Bridge Club held its AGM and presentation of trophies at the town's Parkhouse Centre on Tuesday, April 2.

Members were delighted to welcome Julie Grice, the sister of much missed former chairman John Ridding, to present the two club championship trophies which his family had kindly donated in his memory.

Julie presented the John Ridding Championship trophies to Steven Clifton, who accepted them on behalf of himself and his brother Charles, who was unable to attend.

Five honorary life members were nominated for service given to Bude Bridge Club — Brian and Elaine Relton, now based at Newquay; David and Wendy Voller, who have moved to Tunbridge Wells; and Linda Ashworth, who is still a committee member and very much an active member of the club.
