LAUNCESTON Anglers’ Association Honorary Secretary, Colin Hookaway retired last week after more than 20 years of dedicated service.

Apart from being a keen salmon fisherman, Colin has built a supportive relationship over the years with the Association’s riparian owners, local farmers, the Environment Agency and the members of the Association.

Often accompanied by his wife Ann, he can regularly be found on the banks of the Tamar, keeping an eye on the fishery or helping with the bankside maintenance work.

Rod Dibble, the Association’s President, paid tribute to Colin for his years of dedicated service and presented him with an engraved Dartington bowl, before wishing him ‘Tight Lines’ and a happy retirement.
