IN September last year, Cornwall County Hockey Association ran Junior Development Centres to find the best players in the County.

This was a ten week training programme every Monday night run by some of the best coaches in Cornwall. There were three development centres across the County, in Penzance, Truro and Bude.

Members from Launceston Youth Hockey Club included Leisa Bond, Megan Moore, Issy Paul, Gemma Ryall, Vicky Smith, Libby Grahame, Josh Rundle, Callum Hudson, Alex Moore, Caden Grahame, Nathan Jeffery, Cameron Hudson and Charlie Paul all attended the Bude Centre.

These centres were looking for players with potential to make it into the County team. From these sessions, three members were asked to attend an assessment day in Truro just before Christmas where 22 players would be selected to train in the County squad.
