LAST Saturday at Camborne proved to be one of the most memorable days in the history of Werrington Cricket Club.
The away side needed a minimum of seven points to secure the league title for the first time. The players left Launceston in a minibus driven by Neal Orchard at 8.30am.
After enjoying a light team breakfast en route, the team members arrived at their destination in good time to prepare for a 12.30pm start.
Werrington Captain Ben Smeeth won the toss and put Camborne into bat. The home side amassed a total of 137 with Seb Street and Ben the main wicket takers.
