HOLSWORTHY Golf Club Vets Captain Jeff Paul is inviting local people to join him at a special fundraising golf day to help support charity Parkinson's UK in September.

Jeff, 72, was appointed captain of the club in November 2012, and he has a special reason for supporting the charity.

He explained: "I wanted to support Parkinson's UK specifically as I have seen first-hand how Parkinson's affects people, as my brother David is living with the condition.

"I'd like to invite as many keen golfers as possible to the event, so we can help raise funds towards Parkinson's UK's research work to find a cure."
