THE North Cornwall Table Tennis League Handicap Knockout started during December, with the most notable result being Golfers' very first win.
Their victims were last season's runners-up, and they now face the winners from the previous campaign, Budehaven A, in the semi-finals.
At the halfway point of the league season, last year's champions, North Hill, are leading Division One, but there is very little to choose between the top five teams.
North Hill managed to preserve their unbeaten start by coming back from 3-5 down to snatch a draw against Budehaven in the last match before Christmas.
Meanwhile, in Division Two, Helland A are runaway leaders and probably need just one more win to take the title — they head the table 14 points ahead of second-placed Launceston.
