Winter League One — Tuesday, October 22
NO SOONER than the Summer League finished the Seniors are straight into the winter version.
Division One
Winner: Richard Garvin — 40pts; Runner-up: Denis Scorey — 35pts; 3rd: Steve Hadfield — 33pts.
Division Two
Winner: John Doleman — 35pts; Runner-up: David Napier — 34pts; 3rd: Robert Loughran — 34pts.
Division Three
Winner: David Richards — 37pts; Runner-up: Bryan Roberts — 32pts; 3rd: John Osborne — 30pts.
Men’s Section
Frank Wills Salver at St Austell — Sunday, October 27
THE second of the men’s winter knockouts is again a foursomes competition, but for handicaps between five and 12.
An early start at St Austell for the team playing against Truro Golf Club was offset by the clock change overnight and the weather was fantastic after the deluge on Saturday.
The team from Truro were just a little bit too strong and despite wins for the pairings of Peter Bartlett and Darren Webber and Baron Dorgan and Hugh Christophers, the city side took the honours, by three matches to two.
