WITH all the club captains now officially taking their posts from January 1, last Sunday saw the traditional ‘Drive-In’ for the four new captains at Launceston Golf Club.

This was preceded by a three-person team competition with two scores to count, which had a shotgun start so that everyone could finish to wish the new captains well.

Prizes for guessing where the four captains drives would land were won by Avril Starling, Stuart Phillpotts, Rob Pethick and Steve Ham.

Club president Dave Bundy won the prize for being nearest to the pin on the 15th.
