Ross-on-Wye Juniors Girls Under 10s capped off an excellent season by winning the Shield final on Sunday, May 10th.

The girls put in a hard working performance against a Pegasus team with some older, physically stronger players. Lily scored the only goal of the game, but the stars of the show were the Ross defence.

Caitlin, Maddy, Matilda, Ronnie and Macy quite literally put themselves in the way of everything Pegasus threw at them, and the Ross attackers, Naomi, Maisie, Cassie, Lily and Alex, had to sacrifice their urge to charge forward by helping to protect the Ross goal. It was a close, competitive match played in great spirit and the Ross girls held out to win 1-0.
