2015 could prove to be a big year for Bude RFC, according to first-teamer Freddie Saxton.
The 21-year-old, who plays in the back row, says the second half of the season represents a real opportunity for the team to push on up the table and further restore the squad's confidence after the miserable end to last term.
Bude endured a difficult 2013/14 campaign, with a number of disappointing results culminating in the team's relegation to the Tribute Cornwall Devon League — despite the players' fiercest efforts.
The Bencoolen Meadow based outfit finished 13th in the table, a mere point behind St Ives, who escaped the drop.
While the initial response to the change in divisions was one of despondency, Freddie felt a sense of relief was also evident after a trying season.
