North Devon League cups round-up

NEW signing Tom Shadrick on his debut scored four times as Bradworthy crushed Torridgeside Reserves 9-0 away from home in the quarter-final of the Brayford Cup.

He was ably supported by doubles from Gary Clarke and Nicholas Lapham with Toby Durling rounding off the scoring.

Senior Division Bridgerule were knocked out of the Combe Martin Cup, losing 4-3 at Combe Martin. Despite goals from Liam Slade, Jedd Peschke and Jacob Nosworthy.

Intermediate Two sides Morwenstow Reserves and Bridgerule Reserves were both knocked out of The Bill Smale Cup.

Morwenstow found themselves 4-0 down at the break to Braunton Fourths, and although they pulled one back thanks to an own goal, the hosts went on to win 8-1.

It was a much closer affair at Vinnicombe Park but Eastside left Bridgerule with a 2-1 victory.

In the Inter 3 League Cup, Bradworthy Reserves lost 4-1 at home to Braunton Fifths.

Although Martin Galvin scored for the hosts, Patrick England and Thomas Melville were both red-carded for the ‘Horniwinks’.
