Who is the best player in your squad, and why?
The club has great players in Joe Reeve for ability and Jim Werren for attitude but the best in the reserve team is probably hard defending veteran Paul Chidley.
He is a role model for the younger lads and gives everything every time he plays. Craig Charnock and Dan Hancock have similar attributes.
Who is the best team you have faced or expect to face this season?
Tregrehan Mills — it’s no surprise they are top of the league.
Who is the best player you have or expect to face this season?
Lewis Canfield of St Merryn — very strong with a great shot, and a really nice chap too.
What are your hopes for the season?
This season we want both teams to stay up. With a lot of games in hand we have a good chance but need to get a couple of wins to be sure.
A cup is our main ambition at Petherwin with the Reserves in the Hutchings Cup and a semi final at Pennygillam (our mini Wembley) vs. North Hill on May 1.
What has been your favourite moment of your football career so far?
My best football moment was scoring a late equaliser in a cup final for Cornwall Fire Service at Tiverton Town that we won on penalties, but I am never prouder than when I have lined up before a big game in the black and white stripes of my beloved Badgers.
