East Cornwall Premier League round-up

ST MINVER failed to capitalise on Mount Gould’s cup fixture and go top of the table after being held to a 1-1 draw by Torpoint Athletic ‘A’ at Trewint Lane.

Rob Elliott was the scorer for the North Cornwall side.

However they had a great result last Tuesday as they won 3-1 at Newquay Reserves. Steve Wootton scored twice with Rob Green also on target.

St Teath lost both of their fixtures last week although one was much closer than the other.

On Tuesday night they were edged out 2-1 at Roche with Simon Harper on target.

However, they had a difficult afternoon on Saturday as they lost 8-0 at home to Foxhole Stars, who were three goals to the good inside the opening 15 minutes.

North Petherwin welcomed St Stephen in the first-round of the League Cup, but were beaten 6-1 with Shaun Ellis the goalscorer.
