A?LOCAL?derby normally tends to mean there are fireworks, and that was certainly the case on Saturday as the nine men of Callington fell to defeat against hotly-tipped Saltash.
Callington were applying themselves well until they were dealt a massive blow on the stroke of half-time as goalkeeper Sam Borthwick was controversially sent-off after handling the ball outside the area.
Ryan Richards, who went on to score a hat-trick, gave the Ashes a 49th minute lead from a free-kick.
Callington were down to nine-men not long after as Dan Pethick was shown a straight red for a bad foul.
Richards then added further strikes before the end to make it back-to-back losses for the hosts.
