LAUNCESTON?Ladies’ under 10s and under 12s took part in their first ever festival on Sunday, June 19, at Coldharbour, Bodmin.
Having just started six weeks ago, the girls gave a brilliant account of themselves, playing some excellent football and giving most teams a good run for their money.
Manager Zoe Curtis said: “I was extremely pleased with how the day went. We played really well and although the results didn’t go quite our way there is plenty more to come.
“The highlight of the day for me was when the Bodmin manager came over and praised us for how well we passed the ball which was really nice.
“Also I’d like to thank the parents who were great and supported really well.”
The under 10s - playing five-aside - took part in eight games (seven minutes straight), drawing a couple.
The under 12s - playing seven-aside - with 13 minutes per half found things slightly tougher but impressed with their passing and scored a few goals.
If you are interested in joining, the girls train at Launceston Football Club in Pennygillam on Sunday mornings from 10.30am ot 11.30am or contact Zoe on 07939087083
