Cornwall Junior Cup (first-round) round-up — Saturday, September 21
FIVE Post area clubs moved into the second-round of the Cornwall Junior Cup on Saturday, including victories for Duchy League Three sides Delabole United and North Petherwin Reserves.
Delabole fell behind at Week St Mary through a Davey Tilley own goal before efforts from Luke King (2, including a penalty) and Churton Fairman did the business.
Duchy Premier side St Breward thrashed Morwenstow Reserves 8-0 at Brake Parc while the battle of the Duchy Premier sides saw Lostwithiel beat Boscastle 2-1 and Altarnun thrash Holywell Cubert 7-3 with Danny Moore scoring a hat-trick. Sam Smith (2), Alfie Gillbard and Wayne Smith were also on target for the hosts.
Duchy Two leaders Bude Town Reserves won 2-1 at their St Mawgan counterparts thanks to goals from Bradley Palmer and Lloyd Scaife, while North Petherwin Reserves shocked Duchy One side Pensilva 5-3 at Petherwin Park.
St Minver Reserves lost 3-0 at home to Torpoint Athletic fourths.
