AFTER the success of last season’s Cornwall County FA 125th anniversary match that saw a Cornwall representative side take on the Royal Navy, a re-match has now been scheduled.

Following the last match the County FA received lots of positive feedback from players and spectators so it was only right that another tie was made.

Glynn Hooper will manage this year’s Cornwall Senior representative side that will take on the Navy again at Truro City’s Treyew Road on Wednesday, January 27. Kick off is at 7.30pm.

Glynn has been out and about watching Senior games — weather permitting — and casting his eye over players. He will hoping to match last season’s result which was an excellent 4-2 win for Cornwall.

There will be a small entry fee on the evening with any profits going towards The Cornish Heart Unit Fund — the Cornwall County FA’s chosen charity for this season.

Details of the squad will be announced once Glynn has made his selections and players have confirmed.
