South West Peninsula Premier
Exmouth Town 4
Launceston 3
A GAME of little action burst into life in the final two minutes of the first half with Matt Dawson putting Town ahead after Nathan Anatat had seen a shot saved only for Danny Zallick to head home a Chris Head cross at the near post a minute later!
Within four minutes of the restart Anatat applied a clinical finish to restore the Town lead before Alex Greening took centre stage at Southern Road.
First Greening rifled home a free-kick and then he scored with a powerful strike from open play to make it 4-1 with just over 20 minutes remaining.
The Clarets hit back with Zallick doubling his tally with the assist down to Sam Davey in the 78th minute.
In the final minute substitute Scott Blatchford gave Zallick the chance to complete his hat-trick, but it was to be treble in a losing cause with Town banking the points.
Godolphin Atlantic 2
Callington Town 0
HIGH-FLIERS Godolphin were made to work by lowly Callington Town, withstanding heaps of pressure to secure a 2-0 victory.
The G’s led after four minutes through a deflected Phil Lowry cross with defender Aaron Dilley thought to have got the last touch.
However, the hosts didn’t have it all their own way and it was a backs to the wall job at times, with Callington applying pressure in search of an equaliser, especially in the second half.
Will Sargent brought a good save out of Shaun Semmens before striking the crossbar, with Andre Rodikov and Fergus Nevin also guilty of missed chances.
Defending their slender advantage, Godolphin broke up field with five minutes to go, where Kyle Brown flicked home after a slip by Chris Lock to seal the win for the third placed side.
