CAMELFORD missed the chance to build on their 4-0 victory over Godolphin last Tuesday night as Cullompton capitalised on the home side’s gifts.

The Camels started brightly but the East Devon side took the lead through Matt Fansom’s brilliant strike.

Although Cornwall under 18 stars Joe Adkins and Josh Penrose combined for the latter to equalise, the visitors went in at half-time 3-1 up thanks to goals from Ash Donohue and Lloyd Beech.

The second-half was more of the same with Fansom being the beneficiary of more comical defending, the second of which came after the goalkeeper’s throw hit his own defender, allowing the striker to roll the ball into an empty net.

Cullompton remain ninth, seven points off the top six while Camelford sit 15th.
