Kitchen Kit South West Peninsula League Premier West

Callington Town 4

Liskeard Athletic 1

CALLINGTON Town picked up their second win in four days to pull further away from the relegation zone with a fine 4-1 win over local rivals Liskeard Athletic at a chilly Ginsters Marsh.

Lee Robinson, who scored at Godolphin on Saturday, gave the Marshmen a 12th minute lead and this was doubled seven minutes later when Andre Rodyukov continued his rich vein with the second.

Athletic briefly threatened a comeback when they reduced the arrears just before the break, but a smartly taken penalty from Sam Marker restored Callington’s two-goal advantage early in the second-half.

Town continued to dominate and late on Rodyukov added a second to put Callington 4-1 ahead, which they held on to until the final whistle.

Next up for the Marshmen is the visit of Cullompton in the Walter C Parson Funeral Directors League Cup on Saturday (2.30pm).
