WITH neither Morwenstow or Holsworthy Reserves in action in the North Devon League Premier Division, Post area eyes were on the Senior Division on Saturday.

Bradworthy – with five wins from five and looking to secure back-to-back promotions, headed up to Shamwickshire Rovers Seconds aiming to continue their 100% winning start.

The Horniwinks, who now average five goals per game, won it thanks to Tudor Placinta and Niall Slade.

Shebbear United’s tough start to the season continued as they were edged out 1-0 at AFC Dumnonii Reserves.

The Tangerines made the long trip up with a bare 12, and despite having their moments, were undone by a goal in the first half.

Morwenstow Reserves had the afternoon off from Intermediate One action, but the Greens progressed in the Cornwall Junior Cup with a 3-1 success over visiting St Minver at the Shop Playing Field.

They led 1-0 at the break and although the visitors scored in the second half, Dylan Woolley’s brace to go alongside sub Phil Horton’s finish ensured they reached the second-round.

Holsworthy Thirds headed up to their Braunton counterparts and were comfortably beaten following a difficult first half which saw them trail 4-1 despite a goal from Oscar Frej.

But the home side, who saw Lee Barker and Andros Stavrinou both net twice, added two more in the second half.

Fifth-placed Putford were held to a 2-2 draw by visiting High Bickington in the same division.

The hosts had the slope in their favour in the first half and after good start, took a 15th minute lead through Tom Gleeson’s header.

Chances came and went for the rest of the half, but Putford increased their lead after the break through Gleeson after Jamie Hooper was upended.

However, the visitors dominated from there on and earned a share of the spoils thanks to James Howes and Lucas Vile.
