THINGS were going so well in the North Cornwall derby for Bude until Wadebridge Town struck twice in the second-half to earn a valuable point.
To add insult to injury, second-bottom Penzance picked up a priceless victory meaning the gap between them is down to just six points with the West Cornwall side having three games in-hand.
Despite the setback, Nick Jeffery’s men played well for long spells and took the lead through striker Billy Hopcroft.
However, they were reduced to ten-men before the break as Chris Hill was shown a straight red.
Wes Pugh doubled the Seasiders lead but the Bridgers fought back, culminating in strikes from Ben Joyce and Lewis Prince.
Bude are next in action on Saturday with a vital clash at basement side Vospers Oak Villa.
