FRIDAY February 17 saw Bude Tennis Club host the first ever clash of the North Cornwall clubs - Bude, Launceston and Wadebridge.
As well as a Ratings competition the tournament offered players a point for attendance, a point for every match played and a further point for every match won that went towards the club they were representing.
The mini tennis red competition was won by Harry Tinker from the Wadebridge club who in his first ever competition defeated a spirited Jessica Kay from Wolverhampton in the final.
William Comonte defeated Lewis Griffiths in the Orange final with both boys from the Wadebridge club.
Charlie Kirkman kept up the Wadebridge dominance winning the green event with Bude's Adam Dunn the runner-up.
Agatha Evans from Launceston took the junior girls title beating Jo Temple from Wadebridge, both girls were the last ones standing in the largest entry of the day featuring 15 girls. Agatha did not drop a game at the tournament and is one to watch.
Sam Tucker from Launceston won the boys' competition but was pushed all the way to a deciding match play tie break by Bude's Torin Gillies.
