HARTLAND'S Georgina Allin finished up a remarkably successful season with her own pony 'Bolanken Merlin' and her mother's horse 'Ballyarthur's Angel' by being called up at the last minute to ride at the South West Pony Association Annual Championships.
Due to the sudden illness of her regular show jockey, local owner Emma Littlejohns asked 15-year-old Budehaven student Georgina to step in at the eleventh hour.
Despite having only sat on Emma's home-bred and home-produced mare, 'Henceforth Harriet' for the first time on the tuesday, Georgina and her mother Lindsey travelled to the David Broome Event Centre, near Chepstow in Gwent, and went on to win three major 2013 championships — Champion Working Show Horse Of The Year, Open Working Hunter Of The Year and Supreme Champion Working Hunter Of The Year.
