CAMELFORD'S Alex Quinn has finished his debut season in Junior Karting as the Vice Champion in the Minimax Class, just missing out on the British Championship at the end of a rollercoaster meeting in Lincoln.
Friday testing turned out to be a day of problem after problem for the 13-year-old Sir James Smith's School pupil —culminating in a very unusual lack of pace.
This was especially concerning, considering how fast Alex was last time he raced at this track.
Qualifying arrived on Saturday with the pace issues still occurring. Alex's lack of power was preventing him from exploiting his full potential in the session, leaving him in 24th place for the heats.
