SIXTEEN racers made a clean start in Upper Tamar Lake Sailing Club's Sunday Sailboat One race.
A steady wind provided excellent sailing conditions and favoured the Laser fleet.
Steve Axford led after the first lap, followed by Bob Sampson and Jane Chadney, ahead of a fine tussle between Paul Anderson and James Pollard.
A pair of Bosuns sandwiched a Solo and then came a whole bunch of Toppers.
Freshening winds caused a few mishaps, James Pollard and Bob Sampson briefly capsizing, but the Lasers retained their advantage.
Jane Anderson's 4.7 won on handicap, although Steve Axford's full Laser had gone over the line a couple of minutes before her.
