A CHARITY dance aerobics session was held at Launceston College in October, organised by Launceston Tesco's Community Champion Shelley Vanstone and run by Kerry Jo Gardiner of Funky Fit Launceston.

Diabetes UK is Tesco's charity partner and they will be working together to create healthier communities, and to support everyone affected by, and at risk of, diabetes.

Diabetes is the fastest growing health threat in the UK. Around seven million adults in the UK (one in seven) are at high risk of diabetes, and that number is rising all the time.

It's also a major cause of lower limb amputation, blindness, kidney failure and stroke. Each year in the UK, 24,000 people die early from diabetes.
