LAUNCESTON Road Runner Dan Rodgers continued his excellent form by not only winning Sunday's annual Treggy 7 event, but smashing the course record in the process. Dan was the first of the 59 entrants to finish the race, which started in Launceston Town Square, and concluded at the Castle Grounds, to the sound of bagpipes. His time of 37 minutes, five seconds, was 55 seconds faster than the previous course record. Second place went to Andrew Chambers, representing Bristol and West Running Club, ahead of Tavistock's Jim Cole. The first girl home was Emma Steptoe of Cornwall AC, with a time of 39 minutes, 58 seconds. For the full report, and a round-up of the area news and sport, see this week's edition of the Post.
