Saltash United have appointed player Matt Cusack as their manager.

Cusack takes over from Phil Bayliss who stepped in at Kimberley Park at the end of the season. The Ashes finished in third spot in the Premier Division of the Carlsberg South West Peninsula League, just one point behind Bodmin and had high hopes of securing the runners-up slot until they were beaten by Plymouth Parkway leaving the door open for Bodmin who took their chance by beating Cullompton in their final game. It is Cusack's first management job and Dane Bunney will be his assistant.

The Ashes open their 2015/16 campaign with a match against Exmouth Town on Saturday, August 8.
