The curtain finally fell on another successful Open Week last Friday evening after six days of friendly rivalry on the Tenby links.
Players come from near and far to take part in the ever-popular event and this year - the 36th since its inception - it was no different, with friends meeting up again to do battle in the various competitions and enjoy socialising in the clubhouse afterwards.
Out on the course their skills were certainly put to the test, thanks not only to the obvious challenges presented by the course itself, but also due to the vagaries of the weather.
The first three days were demanding indeed, and Monday particularly so, but having survived that, things did improve for the players as the week progressed, although a stiff breeze remained for much of the time.
Nevertheless, despite this, some good golf was played, some good scores were returned... and there was even a hole-in-one to celebrate.
"The week was a great success despite the weather, with a great deal of positive feedback being received regarding the condition of the course and the friendly atmosphere," said club secretary Dave Hancock.
"Thanks go to all visitors, guests and members who made it such a fantastic week," he added, "specifically David Morgan and the Open Week committee, those members who gave up their valuable time as volunteers, the greens, M+H and marketing committees, as well as all the staff for their hard work before and during the week."
Results from the opening days were given in last week's issue. Here are those for the remaining competitions.
