LEADERS South Petherwin have a 10-point lead at the top following a convincing 114-run success at bottom side Ladock on Saturday.
Petherwin were in early bother at 7-3, however Adam Creasey thrashed 45 from just 32 balls to shift the momentum.
Andrew Brenton and Sam Pengelly came together before Brenton went for 65, but that allowed skipper Jacob Masters (53no) to get stuck into a home attack as he and Pengelly (79 off 69) helped the visitors reach 275-9.
Indian Vivek Oza made 76 to add to his 3-28, but Kevin Horrell’s 2-27 plus 4-34 from Masters saw the hosts restricted to just 161 all out.
St Minver bounced back from their 10-wicket reversal at Saltash by thrashing St Austell Thirds by 166 runs at Menefreda Way.
At 24-2 the omens weren’t looking good, however they ended up making a healthy 287-6 courtesy of Matt Hartnett’s 67, plus 53 from South African Alex Scullard and 71 not out from skipper Ben Hawken.
Opening bowlers Ross Keast (3-46) and Kai McAuley (3-23) shared six wickets after Keast had earlier hoisted 37 at the end.
In Division Four, Launceston remain unbeaten after easing past visiting Callington Thirds by five wickets.
Thirties from Nick Carpenter (39), Toby Beresford-Power (38) and Ben Neville (30) were the backbone of Cally’s 170-6 which included 2-35 from Matt Bloomfield.
Cally struck twice early on, however half-centuries from brothers Dan and Liam Tilley in a 125-run stand guided them to victory, Dan ending 71 not out after Liam departed for 59. Phil Veal claimed 3-41.
Superb spells from youngsters Thomas Petherick (3-30) and Sam Uglow (4-13) saw Werrington Thirds restrict Liskeard to 182 all out having been 160-3, however, they were dismissed for 134 in reply, the best being Henry Howson’s 28.
