THE final round of fixtures in July in the Bond Timber Cornwall Cricket League take place on Saturday with the season heading into the final third.

In the ECB Cornwall Premier, Werrington, now up to second after their win at Callington and Redruth’s defeat to leaders Penzance, host third-bottom Grampound Road at Ladycross, looking to reduce the 27-point lead gap to Penzance who have a Penwith derby at St Just.

Callington make the trip down the A390 to tackle fourth-placed St Austell, 13 points above basement boys Falmouth, who go to Redruth.

In County One, Launceston now 35 points above the drop zone host Rosudgeon at Lawhitton, while Werrington seconds, 32 points from safety, have a tough task at mid-table Troon.

Bude have won six of their last seven in Division Two East and head to Wadebridge seconds while St Minver, 13 points from safety host mid-table Saltash Town in a must-win clash. Freefalling Luckett, who won their opening four games, go to second-placed Menheniot-Looe.

The crucial match of the day in Division Three East is at Bude as the seconds entertain their Launceston counterparts.

Both teams know that a win could see them climb above out of the drop zone and above Roche seconds who welcome another Post area club in South Petherwin, who have returned to form just at the right time.

Elsewhere, the top two clash at Philip Varcoe Sports Ground as St Blazey host Holsworthy, who are 37 points clear clear of their nearest challengers and are all but certain of the league title, while Callington seconds host St Austell thirds and Tintagel travel to Newquay seconds looking to overturn their May Bank Holiday defeat at Butts Field.

In Division Four East, second-placed Werrington thirds host Delabole while Luckett seconds welcome their Lanhydrock counterparts at Chapel Field.

Milton Abbot and South Petherwin seconds will be confident of home wins in Division Five East as they entertain strugglers St Neot seconds and Pencarrow respectively, while in the basement tier there’s the local derby between Launceston thirds and Werrington fourths at Lawhitton.

Elsewhere, leaders St Minver seconds will look to bounce back from their surprise defeat at home to Tintagel seconds when they go to third-placed St Austell fourths while Gunnislake host Liskeard and Tintagel entertain St Stephen seconds.
