Monthly report for November

PAUL Creighton was the star last month, winning on three occasions. Alan Biggs partnered him to victory in both major competitions. They won both the local heat of the Children in Need National Pairs, coming in the top 100 out of 1,790 nationally, and in the Handicap Pairs.

Congratulations also go to Neil Trenanman and Terry Abbott who picked up the win on handicap.

Paul Creighton also came top with David Clarke, and the only other Tuesday winners were Annie Quartermain and Rob Irish. Wednesday saw double victories for Steve Trenner and Tim Benson, once with each other and Tim with Julia Hilder and Steve with Alan Merchant-White.

Other winners were Kirstie and Peter Rosser and Maureen Fallows and Alison Osborne.

The club held a very enjoyable 40th anniversary celebratory competition, organised by the committee and led by chairperson Deb Delvalle.

Bude now look forward to another glorious 40 years!
