THE SKKIF Karate Organisation held its annual autumn course at Launceston Town Hall recently — the second year in succession it has been held at the venue.
Organised by Roger Carpenter, 7th Dan Kyoshi, and hosted by Launceston Karate Club, the four hour course was very well attended by black belts from across the country — as well one individual from Scotland and two from Bulgaria.
All were grateful to receive instruction from high grade Sensei of 5th, 6th and 7th Dan status.
The last part of the course covered Bunkai (application of technique) of Kata (set forms) and was conducted by Sensei Kevin Leigh, 6th Dan, from Watford, and his team of black belts. This was very technical, yet very strong and fast, and really impressive.
