Last week saw the start of the Cornish Ivy-sponsored Summer Combined Pool and Snooker League.

The eight invited players are formatted to play each other twice during the campaign with each match comprising one pool match handicapped and best of eight and one single snooker frame, with a total of three match points up for grabs each week.

Brian Phillips sets the early pace after two weeks, keeping a 100 per cent record in both snooker and pool, closely followed by the Ivey brothers who have both lost and drawn matches already.

Jude Phillips and Nigel Walker sit just behind them having both won a snooker match, Mark Dustin scraped a draw to pick up one point in his pool match and Will Doidge has yet to play a game.
